Incident Lake

INTEGRATION / MICROSOFT TEAMS

Run incidents inside Microsoft Teams, not around it

If your company lives in Microsoft Teams, your incident process should too. In Incident Lake, Slack and Microsoft Teams are both first-class: the agent joins the Teams thread, asks for a commander and severity one question at a time, waits for a human to confirm, and builds the incident record while the conversation is still happening.

1

Kick it off

e.g. post "@Incident Lake go" in a thread

2

Agent joins the thread

Incident opened; questions asked one at a time, right there in Teams

3

People decide

Commander and severity confirmed; meeting summaries land on the incident

Illustrative mock. Demo video coming soon.

What it does

  • Joins Teams threads and runs the response one question at a time
  • Starts on an "@Incident Lake go" mention
  • Posts incidents opened from monitoring alerts
  • Sends a meeting bot into Teams meetings and adds the transcript summary to the incident
  • Reads URLs and text inside images posted to the thread

What it does not do

  • Set severity or close incidents on its own
  • Lock in the record without a human confirming
  • Submit reports to regulators or customers (it drafts; people submit)
  • Page your on-call engineer

Setup at a glance

  1. Connect Microsoft Teams

Add Teams under integration settings and connect your organization's Teams. Integration secrets are encrypted per tenant.

  2. Choose channels

Pick where incidents get posted and which channels to watch for alerts.

  3. Say hello

Post "@Incident Lake go" in a test thread and watch the agent join. We share detailed steps during onboarding.

FAQ

Is Teams a second-class citizen next to Slack?

No. Thread participation, mention triggers and the one-question-at-a-time flow work the same way in both. The Free plan includes one chat integration, so pick the one your responders actually use.

Can it capture what was said on the bridge call?

Yes. The meeting bot joins Teams meetings (as well as Zoom and Google Meet), transcribes them, and adds a summary to the incident's notes.

Does it help with breach notification deadlines?

It calculates reporting deadlines from the time you became aware, including the GDPR 72-hour window, and drafts the report from the chat. A person reviews and submits it. This is general information, not legal advice.
