SIGQ Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture; Representative Director: Takaaki Kanetsuki; hereinafter “SIGQ”) is pleased to announce that it has received a “SOC 2 Type 1 Assurance Report” based on the international internal control standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
SOC 2 Type 1 is an international assurance report in which a third-party organization verifies that the internal controls established by a service organization are appropriately designed as of a specific point in time. With the receipt of this report, the effectiveness and reliability of the controls related to security, availability, and confidentiality in the services provided by SIGQ have been formally evaluated by an external expert organization.
Background and Objectives
Since its founding, SIGQ has prioritized user data protection and service reliability above all else, and has been working to strengthen its security governance framework. As part of these efforts, we launched a project to obtain SOC 2 certification in September 2025, and we have now received our Type 1 report.
The purpose of obtaining this certification is to demonstrate the adequacy of internal controls within the cloud services we provide and to offer greater peace of mind and trust to our clients and partners.
